As the holidays draw ever-closer and we all look to fill our time loving and honoring family, friends and loved ones we hold dear, please take time to remember those who are without their families at this time. If the COVID pandemic has taught us anything about ourselves this year, it’s that we rely on the bonds that surround us, the love of family, the familiarity of home, and the safety of stability are truly gifts we cannot take for granted.
Kids in foster care, through no fault of their own, find themselves in a position where those bonds have been broken – and they need to know that people care. Andrea Christy-Glover, a customer success director at Enspire for Enterprise, started her career in public relations and community outreach in the non-profit sector. Nine years of that work was with an organization in Phoenix, AZ called AASK-AZ. They provide services to families who want to foster, adopt or volunteer with kids in the foster care system.
“Working with kids in foster care for nearly a decade was an amazing journey” says Andrea, “and I’ve had the privilege of working with media outlets, community organizations and identifying ways to reach out to the public at large to find these kids Loving Families.”
To date, we at Enspire for Enterprise is proud to announce that we have raised over $560 – which means that 28 children in foster care will receive our love and attention this holiday season.
If you would like to donate, please visit aask-az.org/snowflake-drive now.
Together, we can show gratitude, love, recognition and the spirit of the holidays through helping to create a warm and memorable holiday for some pretty special kids.
